Ottoman gilt embroidered ceremonial cloth. 19th Century.
Elegant and subtle gilt embroidery on muted green ground. The cloth and areas of embroidery show fading and some damage commensurate with the age of the item; small burn to one area. Sensitively framed to museum quality. The textile is hand stitched to superfine artist linen on 4ply board and set behind Optium Museum Acrylic, to reduce weight and protect the textile. Custom, hand-finished frame in watergilded moon gold.
